In the Classroom Once Again

I spent three years as a TA for the economics department at Mills College. As much as I complained about the work, the hours and the students’ lack of motivation… I loved it. So when TDG was approached by the SDCEO (South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity) at BHSU to develop a marketing seminar series, I jumped at the chance.

On Wednesday January 11th, TDG big wig, Dustin and I held our first session. “How to Develop a Marketing Plan”. The seminar was sold out and had an incredible variety attendees from as far as Nebraska.

It takes a bit of stamina to get up in front of an audience and speak for three hours and I probably shouldn’t have worn my spike heels (especially since it had just snowed), but it was an incredibly rewarding experience.

I think that everyone in that audience learned at least one thing from us. In the end, that’s all you can hope for.

Here are the next two sessions in our marketing seminar series at BHSU:

  • January 25th - “What Makes a Good Website”
  • March 1st - “Digital Strategies for Small to Mid-sized Businesses”
